Otto Stark (1859 - 1926)
Otto Stark was a commercial woodcarver's apprentice in Indianapolis. He went to Cincinnati in 1875, where he worked as a lithographer with Fred Achert, and attended Cincinnati Art Academy. In New York he studied with William Merritt Chase at the Art Student's League and saw the work of American and European Impressionists for the first time.
