Otto Stark , 1893 , Hoosier Group

Born In 1859 in Indianapolis, Stark moved to Cincinnati when he was sixteen to apprentice himself to a lithographer. He attended night classes at the Cincinnati Art Academy at this time. He then went to New York and studied at the Art Student’s League. Later he went to Europe and studied at the Julien Academy in Paris for 3 years. He then returned to New York for 4 years and on to Indianapolis for permanent residence.
