Double Exposure: Walt Bistline and Marcela Pardo Ariza

The Richmond Art Museum is pleased to present Double Exposure: Works by Walt Bistline and Marcela Pardo Ariza.

RAM will be offering an exhibition by Walt Bistline and his former student Marcela Pardo Ariza. Double Exposure will run February 9 – April 3, 2021. Bistline will be displaying his black and white photography of area landscapes and abstractions from his series, Earthbound, in the Paul and Pat Lingle Gallery. Pardo will be exhibiting a series of 18 works from a series entitled, Kin Streets, a project honoring the LGBTQIA community of the Bay Area in the Patricia Quigg Lakoff Gallery. A catalog will be produced with a contributed essay by Shannon Flaherty, Earlham College Assistant Professor of Art History.

Bistline has been in the Richmond community for 16 years and is a former winner of the RAM Annual Exhibition Best of Show. Marcela exhibited in the Annual Exhibition when she was a student at Earlham College. She has been gaining national attention for her work, most recently exhibiting at the Crystal Bridges Museum of Art.
