Douglas David Paints His Favorites is a look at the works and life of an artist who’s learned to follow his heart. Look closely at his paintings and you see more than his years of hard work and study; you see paintings that are warm, calm, and peaceful; a reflection of a man who’s enjoying his journey.

His first museum show at the Richmond Art Museum marked a major milestone in that journey. For a life-long Hoosier like David, it’s only fitting that this exhibition was offered by a museum that proudly supports the arts of Indiana artists as its mission.

For David, this exhibition is many things: his first museum show, his favorite things, but maybe most importantly, an opportunity to share a look at where he’s been and offer a glimpse of where he’s going.
